Tottenham sign Savio from Manchester City in club-record £85m deal
Spurs pay an initial £75m — up to £85m with add-ons — for Brazil winger Savinho, who reverts to being called Savio after the move, in Manchester City's biggest-ever player sale.

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City on a five-year contract, with the 22-year-old reverting to his boyhood nickname "Savio" for his new club.
Spurs are paying an initial £75m, with a further £10m available in add-ons, taking the total potential value of the deal to £85m. Around £5m of those add-ons are considered close to guaranteed, meaning City stand to collect at least £80m.
A club-record sale for City
The fee makes Savio's departure Manchester City's most expensive player sale, surpassing the £82m City received for Julian Alvarez's move to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024.
The signing is part of a heavy summer of spending at Tottenham, which has now passed £300m in total following the earlier arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke for a combined £237m, plus free-transfer signings Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.
