Sahara: Djibouti Reaffirms Support to Morocco’s Sovereignty over its Southern Provinces - Asmara Post


Speaker of Djibouti’s Parliament Dileita Mohamed Dileita has reaffirmed his country’s unwavering backing to Morocco’s sovereignty over its entire Saharan territory.
During a meeting he held Wednesday in Rabat with Speaker of Moroccan House of Councilors, Mr. Dileita reiterated his country’s commitment to defend this position in all regional and international fora.

The Speaker of Djibouti’s Parliament called for enhancing further economic cooperation between the two countries, hailing Morocco’s economic resilience and political stability in a global turbulent era.

The Djibouti politician is visiting Morocco with a delegation of MPs to foster cooperation ties and dialogue with Moroccan lawmakers on several parliamentary issues and common challenges.

Following a meeting he held the same day with Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr.Dileita praised the excellent political and economic relations existing between Morocco and Djibouti, saying the legislative institutions of the two countries can play an important role in strengthening bilateral partnership in various strategic sectors.

He also spoke about Morocco’s parliamentary experience and thanked the North African Kingdom for providing advanced military and medical training to Djiboutian students and executives, offering them all necessary support.
